Three Month Old Licence Called in to Public Inquiry Owing to Card Pulling Drivers

This holder of a restricted licence, represented at Public Inquiry by Harry Bowyer, was called in three months into his operating history. He had outsourced his tachograph analysis to a company that failed to provide him with any infringement reports. This was unfortunate as his drivers began to pull their cards almost from the start of operations. The Operator was put in touch with a competent Transport Consultant who overhauled the systems of the company, put the company in touch with a better tachograph analysis provider and suspended the two errant drivers pending the Public Inquiry.

The operator kept his licence subject to a week long suspension – the drivers, not represented by SBC were suspended for 24 weeks each.
