Speeding HGV Driver Given Written Warning at Driver Conduct Hearing

An HGV driver was called to a Driver Conduct Hearing before the Traffic Commissioner after receiving a number of speeding penalties. In his submissions the advocate was able to show that, whilst the speeding infringements in themselves were inexcusable, there were significant mitigating factors in the driver’s favour.

Having heard the evidence and submissions, the Traffic Commissioner issued the driver with a written warning.
