Restricted PSV Licence Granted at Preliminary Hearing after Concerns about “Main Occupation.”

This operator, represented by barrister Harry Bowyer, was a bathroom fitting company in a remote part of the UK. The father of the directors ran a seasonal business operating a short bus route for tourists which the directors wished to continue. The Central Licensing office was somewhat bemused as to why a bathroom fitting company wanted to run a PSV licence and a preliminary hearing and whether there would be problems with the “main occupation.” The preliminary hearing took place by video link and the licence was granted as applied for.
