Public Inquiry Results in no Further Action against Bus & Coach Operator

This large bus and coach operator had been called in to Public Inquiry following concerns the Traffic Commissioner had over whether the business had the necessary financial standing to operate its fleet.

Prior to the hearing SBC worked closely with the operator to advise on how financial standing could best be evidenced. By the time of the Public Inquiry the business was able to demonstrate to the Traffic Commissioner’s satisfaction that it had the necessary financial standing in place to operate its fleet.

After hearing evidence from the operator and legal submissions, the Traffic Commissioner decided to take no further action against the operator, subject to the successful completion of an undertaking.

Concerns over financial standing are one of the more common reasons PSV operators get called before the Traffic Commissioner. Our team of specialist transport solicitors and barristers have extensive experience on advising and representing operators in all matters concerning the Traffic Commissioner and compliance.
