PSV Operator’s Licence granted at Public Inquiry in just 7 minutes.

Helen Newbold, specialist road transport law barrister, represented the applicant for a restricted PSV licence. The applicant had failed to provide the information requested during the application process and after being given a number of opportunities by the Office of the Traffic Commissioner, was informed that the application would be refused unless a Public Inquiry was requested. The applicant requested a Public Inquiry and sought legal advice.
A portfolio of evidence was prepared on the applicant’s behalf together with a witness statement addressing the concerns raised in the letters which the applicant had previously received from the Office of the Traffic Commissioner. Having read this in advance of the Public Inquiry, the Traffic Commissioner was able to grant the licence within 7 minutes of the start of the hearing.
