Operator Given Final Opportunity to Comply and Avoids Revocation at Traffic Commissioner’s Public Inquiry

Our client was called to Public Inquiry, where he was represented by solicitor, Laura Newton, following an unsatisfactory DVSA investigation. Records showed that there had been no improvements despite two DVSA investigations but that the Operator had begun to put things right with the Call to Public Inquiry, with assistance from a Compliance Expert and our lawyers. The Traffic Commissioner took a step back from revocation, giving the Operator a final chance to prove compliance. The Licence was temporarily suspended to allow a full fleet inspection and driver training, with the assurance that the Licence will be reinstated with confirmation of these actions.

A revocation would have resulted in loss of 35 jobs and would have been fatal for the business.
