Operator Allowed Increase in Vehicle Authorisation After DVSA Investigation Identifies Shortcomings

This operator, represented by Millicent Dooher, had been called into a Public Inquiry following a DVSA inspection identifying more than 100 instances of missing mileage. The Operator also wanted to almost double their vehicle authorisation. Following the written submissions and submissions at the Public Inquiry, the Traffic Commissioner accepted that the Operator was making the changes to be compliant, and only issued a formal warning. The application was granted in full. The Transport Manager was called to the same Public Inquiry, the Traffic Commissioner took no action on the Transport Manager’s good repute.
