Licence Allowed to Continue Following Use of Unauthorised Operating Centre for over 2 Years.

This operator was called before the Traffic Commissioner following a DVSA investigation where an unauthorised operating centre had been used for over 2 years. The Operator was represented at Public Inquiry by Millicent Dooher, barrister. The Operator contacted Smith Bowyer Clarke as soon as the DVSA had been in, SBC advised the immediate cessation of use of the operating centre which was done and the Operator had time to implement compliant systems and the Director was able to undertake a course to improve her knowledge. The Traffic Commissioner reduced the authorisation from 3 vehicles to 2, at the request of the Operator and granted a new operating centre.
