Impounded Truck Released following Cabotage Offences

SBC were approached by a large European finance house after one of their trucks was impounded in the UK. The UK authorities had evidence that the truck had been operated in the UK in breach of the cabotage regulations. The finance house was the ultimate owner of the vehicle, and had not been aware that the vehicle had been operated illegally.

SBC appeared for the finance house at the impounding hearing in the UK. At the end of the hearing the Traffic Commissioner ordered that the vehicle be released back to the owner.
